Welcome to Mrs. Borders
online classroom website. I will be teaching 8th grade Language Arts for the 07/08 school year. Although it is my desire for
all my students to leave my class having a love for reading, literature, and writing, this is not my main goal. My goal
is for students to see the importance of the subject - how it affects them now, why they need English at all, and
when/how they are going to need and use it in their future. This
site lists classroom readings, assignments, and information. Browse the site for great information to help you in my classroom and in school!

All of the above texts will mostly be read in class.
These books may or may not include: projects, vocabulary, questions, chapter quizes, novel tests, discussions, drawings, research
and AR tests.
In addtion to the class novels, each student will
be required to read three books from the school or public library. A project or assignment will be given, at minium, to one
of these books per nine weeks. You will be able to find book assignments on the web site.
